Makani Akau sits at the end of a small lane way in a very quiet residential area in Paia town. Paia offers a variety of restaurants, as well as, several quaint shops and an excellent health food store. Paia Beach is a quick walk (less than ten minutes). Baldwin Beach, Baby Beach and Spreckelsville beaches are a quick drive down the road. The swimming, snorkeling beaches of Kihei, Wailea and Makena are 30-45 minutes by car. Makani 'Akau is a oceanfront property that sits on the east side of Paia, facing west towards the sunset. The setting is just stunning! Your first view upon entering the gate is looking through the glass door, across the entry area and patio to the ocean framed by palms and the sandy beaches of Paia, Baldwin and Spreckelsville. The property is fenced and lined with vegetation on both sides to provide ample privacy. Makani Akau is walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Paia. All rooms with the exception of the playroom and fourth bedroom face directly to the ocean! The ground level has wood floors, with living area (cable TV/VCR, DVD, CD stereo), dining area, half bath, laundry and a well equipped kitchen (sub-zero 48" fridge, stove, microwave, disposal, dishwasher). A slate patio off of the living and dining area has both a gas and a charcoal BBQ and is overhung for sun protection. The upper floor has three bedrooms (king, king, king) with two full bathrooms (tub with shower in each). A large room at the back on the second floor can be used as a playroom.

OPTIONAL - A fourth bedroom (queen) and 3rd bath can be added.

Between the house and the ocean is a 50 foot lap pool . The views are incredible!

The ocean is rocky in front of the house, and therefore no ocean access from the property. The sandy beach of Paia Bay is within walking distance. Baldwin Beach is just a couple of minutes by car. THE POOL IS NOT FENCED, but has a safety net that should be used when small children are staying at the house.

Dining room - oceanview, dining for eight Kitchen - well equipped - 48" Sub-zero fridge, double ovens, microwave, dishwasher, gas cooktop. Bedroom #1 - king bed, oceanview, ensuite bath (tub/shower) Bedroom #2 - king bed, oceanview, shared bath Bedroom #3 - king bed, oceanview, shared bath Bedroom #4 - optional - can be added - queen bed, A/C, private bath Den - queen Office - sofa bed, desk Garage - owner use only.

The ocean side of the yard is unfenced therefore small children should be supervised at all times. POOL HAS A SAFETY NET, TO BE USED WHEN SMALL CHILDREN ARE STAYING AT THE HOUSE. MAXIMUM TWO VEHICLES.
