Welcome to Hale Nalu! This townhome is located in the heart of Puamana, a 30-acre private paradise just south of Lahaina Town. The lush garden views and close distance to the 3 community swimming pools, tennis court, pickleball court, clubhouse with small gym, and private seasonal beach make this home an ideal vacation spot.
The fully-equipped kitchen has been remodeled with new appliances and cabinets. There is split system air conditioning in the family room and bedrooms so you can stay cool and comfortable in the tropical heat. The home’s interior has been recently completely re-furnished with comfortable contemporary pieces including a custom made-in-Hawaii monkey pod dining table and benches. The home has also been newly decorated with some of the owners’ favorite fine art photography – mostly of Maui waves, the inspiration for the home’s name: Nalu.
The master bedroom is located on the ground level and is furnished with a king bed and TV; there is an ensuite bathroom as well as a walk-in master closet where the washer/dryer is located. The second bathroom is also located on the main floor. Both bathrooms have recently remodeled showers. The sun-filled dormer loft has a queen bed, two twin xl beds, and a daybed. The loft comfortably sleeps five people, including a person on the daybed. Blackout blinds have been installed in the loft so you can sleep in or nap on your vacation. A small wall mounted TV suitable for hooking up your gaming system is also available upstairs. Board and card games for children of all ages and Maui guide books are included in the main living area.
This home features two lanais: the front lanai is ideal for morning coffee (curl up in the hanging porch swing), while the spacious rear lanai is designed for BBQing, lounging, and private get togethers. There is plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for taking in Maui’s beauty while relaxing with close friends and family. The grassy area beyond the rear lanai is a wonderful area for children to play. On the rear lanai, you will find beach chairs, a cooler, and boogie boards. Feel free to borrow these while you enjoy the Puamana ocean views or play in the waves. The ocean/ beach entrance is an easy three minute walk from the home.
Puamana is located at the south end of Front Street, so it is a very short drive or an enjoyable stroll (about 3/4 mile) into town to eat at one of the fabulous restaurants, shop, or catch a boat ride adventure from Lahaina Harbor. Puamana is also close to all of the other West Side attractions Maui has to offer and is located about 40 minutes from the airport.
Please note:
The loft stairs are open to the main living area and the space may not be ideal for very small children without close supervision; the loft ceilings are low – please watch your heads.

Policies
Check in and Check out time: Check in time is 4:00 P.M. the day of arrival. Check out time is 10:00 A.M. the day of departure. Late check-out, or additional days may be arranged, subject to availability plus payment of additional fees.
Use – The premises are to be used exclusively for residential purposes. No retail or other commercial use of premises is permitted. The premises are not to be used for meetings, receptions or for parties in excess of 10 people over the number of registered Guests. Overnight accommodations are restricted to the number of Guests agreed upon in advance and stated in this agreement. Any unregistered Guests shall be charged an additional $50.00 per night, per person for non-disclosure of the fact. No Parties or Under Age Drinking will be allowed.
Quiet Time – Guests are advised that noise travels easily, and that it is important to be respectful of others at all times. There is a noise curfew at 10:00 PM in all residential areas and all Guests are expected to comply with this rule.
Unit Capacity – Each unit is designed to accommodate a certain number of guests. The number of guests permitted in the unit should match the number on your confirmation. All persons, including children staying at this vacation unit must be listed on the Reservation Confirmation. Please notify us ahead of time if the number of people in your party has changed. Any Guest not listed on the Reservation Confirmation will be considered unauthorized and an additional fee of $50.00 per night per person will be charged.
Deposits/Payments – A 25% deposit must be received along with a signed Reservation Confirmation within 48 hours of making your reservation. The final payment, made by E-Check, check or money order in US funds, must be received 60 days prior to arrival. In lieu of a security deposit we have included a Property Damage Insurance of $59 which provides coverage for covered accidental damages up to $2000. There is also a $10 per day (maximum $100) Administrative Fee required by Puamana Community Association that will be collected at time of booking. There is a 2 car maximum. Parking is complimentary for one car. There is an additional $10 charge for a second vehicle. Rates subject to change. At certain units there is only one rental car permitted.
Method of Payments – Visa, Master-Card, American Express, Check or Money Order
Cancellation Policy – All payments are non-refundable 60 days prior to arrival unless the unit can be rerented. There will be a $300 cancellation fee assessed plus any travel insurance charges on all cancellations. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance. No refunds are made for un-used nights regardless of cause.
Travel insurance – We recommend that you purchase travelers insurance. This is an optional fee which is automatically added to your reservation and will be removed if you decline the insurance within 10 days of your deposit. Please click here (www.vacationrentalinsurance.com/330cert) to obtain your travel insurance policy or certificate of insurance for your Covered Trip if you have paid for or authorized payment for the travel insurance. The travel protection, if purchased, includes insurance coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Baggage Delay, Baggage and Personal Effects, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Emergency Assistance, Medical or Dental Expense, and Rental Car Damage. Please read your document carefully as certain limitations, restrictions and exclusions apply. The insurance coverage is underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Company and the noninsurance assistance services are provided by CSA’s designated provider. Please contact CSA at 866- 999-4018 if you have any questions.
Damage – The Guest will at the Guest’s expense and at all times maintain the premises, furnishings and appliances in clean and good condition and will surrender the same upon termination of this Agreement in as good a condition as when received. The Guest understands that the Guest will be responsible for repair of all damage.
Property Damage Protection – In lieu of a security deposit we have included Property Damage Insurance for $59 which provides coverage for accidental damages up to $2000. This Property Damage Insurance plan covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $2000. Any damages that are not covered or exceed $2000 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Personal Property of Guests – Guests are advised that personal items lost or stolen are not the responsibility of the Owner. Owner assumes no responsibility for ensuring that the residence is locked and secured during the period of occupation by Guests. In addition, Owner shall be held harmless from all claims or causes of actions arising from the rental and occupation of the residence by Guest.
Supplies – A start up amenities package provided for our Guests includes; automatic dishwasher and hand soap, a limited supply of toilet paper and paper towels. Any supplies beyond the initial start up amenities package provided by Owner are to be supplied by the Guest.
Maid Service – The Units will be clean upon your arrival. Additional maid service at the guest’s expense is available upon request.
Maintenance – Every effort is made to keep the equipment and appliances in good working order, however, the operation of all appliances cannot be guaranteed. A 24-hour emergency cell number is available to report major appliance, plumbing or air conditioning problems. Authorized employees or repairmen may enter the premises during business hours for purposes connected with repair, care or maintenance of rental unit. We will do our best to have any repairs completed quickly; however, NO DISCOUNTS OR REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EQUIPMENT OR APPLIANCE FAILURE.
