Overview
It is easy to explore Maui from Hono Kai’s central location, and there’s plenty of incentive to do so, there are adventure and beauty everywhere. You will enjoy returning to this third-floor Hono Kai condo, C-9; it feels like you’re living in a tranquil, tropical tree house! The bedroom has a serene vibe, an AC, and a king bed. A shoji door can be opened or closed to the living area, where there is a sofa sleeper (the unit sleeps four), dining set, and flatscreen cable connected TV (which is complimentary, along with high-speed internet and WIFI-Internet Speed 400mbps ). The bathroom has a walk in shower. Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen for savoring on the lanai. A Keurig machine and 12-cup coffee maker provided. (Keurig pods are not supplied) | | Hono Kai is a beachfront complex, south facing, with panoramic views of the white-sanded, curving coastline all the way down to the red Makena cinder cone, Ma’alaea Bay and all the activities taking place on it, Kahoolawe isle, Molokini isle, and majestic Haleakala mountain. From December to April, Humpback Whales return from Alaskan waters to have their calves. You can see them from the pool and beach in front of the resort, which is quiet and lovely. The grounds are pristinely maintained, including the pool, barbecue station, lounge chairs, and on-site laundry facilities. The parking here is free, 1 vehicle per unit. There are no elevators. | | You can walk Sugar Beach’s 2.5 miles of serenity all the way to Kihei, since it is accessed at the end of the street through Haycraft Beach Park. MA’ALAEA BAY RENTALS RENTAL AGREEMENT
Booking Rules:
A credit card is required to guarantee a reservation.
As renters, you are responsible for damages caused by you or your guests; these include damages to the unit, items within the unit (including towels and linens), and to common areas. We understand that accidents happen, so please let us know if any occur.
If, upon arrival, you notice any damages to your unit, please notify us immediately to avoid possible liability.
Supplies:
Your unit is supplied with a starter kit which includes laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, dish soap, trash bags, paper towels, tissues, and toilet tissue. Replace these on your own as you need them.
Your unit is also equipped with sufficient bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, dish towels and wash cloths.
For condos without in‐unit washer/dryers, please use the laundry facilities located at your particular resort.
Deposits/Cancellations
To confirm your stay, a non‐refundable deposit of $200 is due upon booking; and you are given the option to choose between either of the following:
1. $39.99 damage insurance (covering up to $3,000 of accidental damage)
2. $3,000 damage deposit (refunded 7‐10 business days after departure)
Final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
Cancellations made after initial deposit require a $200 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made after final payment are non‐refundable.
We do recommend travel insurance and can offer you options through Generali. If you are interested, please inquire with us before your final payment is due.
Deposits/Cancellations (Holiday Season: 12/15 – 01/05)
Reservations that arrive during our Holiday Season (12/15 ‐ 01/05) require a $500 deposit, and
Final payment is due within the first week of October.
Cancellations for Holiday Season reservations made before final payment require a $500 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made after final payment are non‐refundable.
We do recommend travel insurance and can offer you options through CSA Travel Protection. If you are interested, please inquire with us before your final payment is due.
Smoking:
All units are Non‐Smoking.
Designated smoking areas are available on all properties.
Any evidence of smoking within the unit or lanai area will result in charges, the minimum of which is $400.
Office Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Monday – Friday.
Check In/Out:
Check‐In time is after 3:00 PM.
Check‐Out time is before 11:00 AM.
Late check‐outs are only available at the cost of a full night’s stay and must be arranged at the time of booking. Please contact Maalaea Bay Rentals at 1‐800‐367‐6084 or 808‐244‐5627 in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you.
